In the Anglican Epiphany celebration, we pursue a life of peace and well-being. Like the Magi presenting gifts to the infant Jesus, we strive to offer kindness, compassion, and justice in our communities. Epiphany urges us to embrace Christ’s light, guiding us toward reconciliation and harmony. Through prayer and reflection, we aim to embody Christ’s teachings, creating a world where all can experience life’s abundance and God’s peace.

RectorAt the Anglican Church of the Epiphany in Houston, TX, Epiphany holds a profound significance as we commemorate the revelation of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles through the journey of the Magi. On January 6th, we gather to mark this pivotal moment, concluding the Christmas season and beginning Epiphanytide. This season prompts us to reflect deeply on fostering peace and well-being in our lives and community.
Inspired by the Magi’s journey and their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, we commit to honoring Christ with generosity, reverence, and sacrificial love. These virtues compel us to seek unity and understanding among all people, answering Christ’s call for peacemakers in a divided world.
During Epiphany, our worship emphasizes Christ’s universal message of salvation and the transformative power of God’s light. Through readings and communal reflection, we strive to deepen our understanding of Christ’s teachings and create a community where everyone experiences dignity, respect, and flourishing.
Epiphanytide at the Anglican Church of the Epiphany also includes traditions like blessing homes and marking doors with the initials C, M, B, invoking God’s blessing and protection. These rituals signify our commitment to embodying God’s peace in our neighborhood and beyond, living out the Epiphany message of light and hope daily.
